Hello All!
I am a 1st grade teacher residing in Las Vegas, NV. I started this blog because of my masters work on a degree in Educational Technology. I am relatively new to the teaching profession, as this is only my third year. I have had much experience, however, in different grade levels as I have taught a different age group each year. I currently teach at Innovations International Charter School of Nevada and have a group of wonderfully amazing and energetic six and seven year olds!
I am originally from a small town in Wisconsin and in moving to Las Vegas realized very quickly that all the glitz can be somewhat overwhelming at times. In blogging, I want people to realize that Las Vegas is not all lights, glitz, and casino/hotels! People of all ages live here, work here (not just in casinos) and receive an education here. Yes, Las Vegas is larger than just the boulevard! I want to point out that the technology in Las Vegas is not just used on the strip, but in schools and individual classrooms as well. Throughout this blog I will be providing insight on the Educational Technology topics I am learning about. I welcome you to read, enjoy, and provide your unique insights and feedback as well!
